Council Chamber

The civic symbols of historic Virginia are reinterpreted in the Council Chamber by making reference to the Colonial Williamsburg Capitol. Raised paneling, wheel window openings toward the Town Green and Town Garden, and a clerestory of square windows performing very much like classical cornice dentils around the octagonal volume, render the precedents that are usually associated with places of public assembly and deliberation.
